Alaska 2.0

Teachers who spend entirely too much time on the Internet.

Hi,
I'm working to build my consulting practice in Education, Learning, Human Factors, Career Development and Human Resources. I'll also be speaking and am looking for additional speaking opportunities in schools, colleges, universities, professional societies and businesses for 2010 and 2011. Otherwise, planning on visiting with some family and a small amount of sight seeing travel.
If any fellow members of this Alaska Ning are aware of speaking opportunities I would be honored to be considered as a potential speaker. Doing, for example, a speaking tour of schools throughout Alaska would be very exciting. Ron

What do you speak about?

Hi Matt,
I speak about learning, career preparation and development, leadership, teamwork, human resources and human factors/ergonomics. My presentations are highly educational and informative, but they follow the style of a TV game show so that they are lots of fun as well. I have reviewed a number of the titles on my profile page here on Alaska 2.0. If youl'd like to see a slide show of some of the presentations you may visit my SlideShare site. If youl'd like to read a bit more about one of my presentations you may visit the Google Site for my Games To Explain Human Factors program. In 2007 the Champion from my Games presentation at the American Indian Scientific and Engineering Society (AISES) conference in Phoenix AZ was from Kiana High School in Alaska.

Hi Matt,

I'm teaching summer school up in Brevig Mission. We will have an extended 8 week program, specifically designed to help students who are behind and are in the upper High School grades.

Our summer emphasis is creating a Google Earth Lit Trip for the book Winter Walk, technology standards, and part of the MAPTEACH curriculum, which is an outstanding resource.

Any other summer school teachers out there?

Ginger I have been following some of your work, it sounds so cool, keep at it.

Those lit trips would be fun to do with middle school kids.

What book are you doing?
