Collaborative Professional Practices

What would it take in our state for each district to have collaborative professional practices? Could districts share the experts they have say in math, art, music, science, and work together with a common set of strategies and assessments? Maybe it is a dream but just consider how powerful that could be? Would it work or should we just toss the idea?

I am a first year teacher and have become totally dependent on my E-PLN. I strive to integrate Web2.0 in my school and classroom as often as possible - and simply cannot wait to try to go to ASTE this year!
